Pros
Autonomy - One of the company values is 'Own it, build it' and you can really see that day to day. In my first month I identified some ways to improve the commercial processes and senior management were happy to let me run with it, listened to my ideas and helped me to implement my suggestions. People - everybody has been so welcoming and supportive since I joined, and not just my peers but the senior management team too. Everybody supports each other in a really positive way which creates a great team spirit in the office. The mission - the company mission is to 'Make the global legal industry clear, connected and collaborative.' A lot of us get excited about the way we're shaping the way an industry works and that creates a real buzz amongst the team.
Cons
There's still a long way to go. If you're looking for a role where the playbook is already written and you already have the majority of the market share, you're probably best off at somewhere like SalesForce or Oracle. If you want to bring a completely new concept to market, you are willing to accept that lots of people may not have heard of you yet, but are very aware of the problems we're fixing and you can come up with plans and ideas to accelerate our growth into new areas, then Apperio could well be a good fit for you.
