THIS IS A DOOR-TO-DOOR SALES WITH ABSOLUTELY NO SALARY/ALL COMMISSION - Sales Representative Aptive Environmental Employee Review

Pros

- the commission is pretty high - if you're okay with working 70+ hours a week, under severe weather conditions, have the cops called on you, and you're also okay with lying/deceiving this is the job for you

Cons

- They frame the position as a job/summer internship to recruit more college students looking for a real internship. It's not, you sign as an independent contractor and do door-to-door sales all summer - READ THE FINE PRINT (if possible with a lawyer): the contract is designed to protect themselves from lawsuits and throw you under the bus. If you decide to quit for any reason, you will owe them $2000 (at least) for summer rent (and they force you to live in the apartments of their choosing, which I'm pretty sure they own so it's just a secondary source of revenue for them). - They'll ask you to work every day from 8AM to 9AM, and Saturdays a "half day" from 8AM to 4PM. - They teach you to lie and deceive customers. Although they won't tell you that straight up, that's how their best salesmen sell their subpar product. - They'll ask you to sell under severe weather conditions and threaten with not giving you your bonuses if you don't. - They'll also ask you to sell on NON-SOLICITING neighborhoods and keep selling even after having the cops called on you. - You have to pay for absolutely everything (iPad, data plan, car, gas, rent, etc.)

Pros

The company has great culture, and everyone is helpful and caring. They make sure to do fun things for their employees.

Cons

Sometimes during sales season it feels super busy, and so many people in and out. Its really not that bad though.

Pros

Pay and overtime is great, management is decent, you run your own show- upsell, identify pest problems, know your chemicals, different methods, request inventory products

Cons

It's a lot of hours in summer. You will hate spiderwebs. I enjoy seeing many beautiful gardens and getting to know the local wasps, birds, and lizards- but it's not for everyone. Don't trust everything management says, and bring up issues early and with tact.
