Cons
Mostly cons: For staff, you'll work full time in the office with little-to-no control over your work or your time, even if you're a salaried manager. So, the soft benefits (control over your time during the day, etc.) that make up for the lack of honest compensation are not there to mitigate the pain of low wages. Plus, if you're not white and mediocre, there's just no interest in you. Arbitrary promotions of white mediocre employees over and instead of exceptional people of color with proven longer-standing employment histories are the norm. To sum up, if you're white and mediocre or white and exceptional, then ASU is the place for you. If you're anything else, try to find a place that's a bit more inclusive and kind to the rest of humanity.
