Pros
The work pace / demands are pretty chill. Independence to do your work how you like. Coworkers are usually great. Great benefits. Generous tuition discounts.
Cons
Pay is laughably low + no COL adjustments, & merit raises are few & far between & stingy (2.5%). You're stuck at 2 weeks vacation time for the first 2 years & that's not negotiable. Nearly impossible to advance - so many team & unit leads have been sitting in their jobs for a decade, so there's nowhere for you to go up, even with year over year great performance reviews. Most jobs you are supposed to come in to the office at least 3 days a week.
