Pros

I can't think of any.

Cons

Everything. The pay was very, very low as compared to other Hospitals in the area. The culture was a toxic place, and if you wanted to move up or advance you had to be "in" a clique. It was honestly like high school. I worked there for many, many years to constantly be treated like a dog. We went through a 3 year period of time where we did not get a raise at all. We also were constantly bombarded with more work, but with no incentive. Upper management, especially the Director, who had almost no real nursing experience walks around with a coffee or pepsi in his hands, ignoring employees and patients and the real issues of what is happening on the units. The units are short staffed, but pull from other units making those units short staffed, and no one wants to pick up any extra hours because they are all burned out. Besides the director, the management there are all just looking out for themselves, and looking to advance their careers. It's always a mess and it's allowed to go on because everyone hangs on by a thread there, and as long as they everyone is hanging on, it doesn't matter,. Survived one more day. If you are looking for a place that cares about their employees, go somewhere else. The pay is higher at Kettering, Trihealth ect.. The benefits are a joke for those who are working in healthcare, it is so expensive and they require you to go to Primer Health so that they can make you customers.

Pros

The people I work with really support each other. Company is clear on goals and plans for the company. Overall good support for employees. Conducive for home education to ease learning. Floor supervisors and AO are interactive and available. Seen other people work there a long time so that is a good sign. I do feel having consistent PCTs on CCU is a good change and joining CCU together.

Cons

Sometimes work schedules can be spaced out a lot which hard for night shift crew. Don’t understand why protocols can’t be same across all premier and match MVH as the standard. Like why different heparin protocols and Ptt testing for different hospitals? Feel there is too much protetection for employees breaking the attendance policy and such that get steps or get fired if an issue, puts stress on other employees when they do follow the rules. Would like to have upper management briefly visit the floor from time to time so I can know what they look like and that you took time to see things/workers directly that affect my job.

Pros

Some coworkers were supportive and hardworking, and the experience helped me grow professionally and personally. Flexible scheduling at times was appreciated.

Cons

Management showed favoritism and employees were not treated equally. Hard work often went unnoticed while certain individuals received better treatment. Communication from leadership was poor, morale was low, and the work environment often felt toxic and discouraging. I did not feel valued or respected as an employee.
