      Pros

      I was placed in a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) without any prior focus on areas for improvement, which strongly suggests that the company had ulterior motives of laying off new hires within a year. The issues that my manager raised during this process lacked substance and did not provide constructive feedback for my growth. Additionally, it seems that the toxic work culture of Amazon is infiltrating Audible, and this is concerning for the well-being and productivity of employees.

      Pros

      Audible is an Amazon company. I think as a whole, this company attracts people who are kind and fun spirited. Some who come from other big tech companies may think us as nerdy or quiet but I think it’s the lack of toxic compatibility that you tend to see at those other companies. I purely enjoy working with my colleagues and the work that I do, which I can hardly say about the other big tech companies I worked at. Free lunch and commuter/parking benefit

      Cons

      5-day RTO. The headquarter is in Newark, NJ. The commute can be hard for some.
