- Toxic work culture. There is always that sense of guilt and judgment if you leave the office before 6 pm. The CEO pushes everyone to work hard and even when something is accomplished, it is used as motivation to work even harder. Is extremely hard on all employees and can create hostility when in a negative mood.
- No upward mobility. Career paths are stagnant and there is a much bigger emphasis on the product rather than ensuring that the people of this company grow.
- The CEO fires people quickly. This is not even a 50 person company yet but already has fired several people. Either leaders have poor recruitment tactics or are too hard on people.
- Send people into the fire. They will assign tasks and projects that are out of scope and experience level and expect you to succeed without giving you the proper skills/knowledge.
- Claims they pay competitive wages. However, they offer below-average pay and have no meaningful benefits.
- "Work hard, play hard" is the mentality here. You are expected to break your back for the company and expected to party all night.
