Business outlook
Pros
Very organized as far as manufacturing is concerned. There is a great amount of support, proper training, spare parts are readily available for machinery, equipment is up to date, and great benefits. As far as production is concerned, I feel BD is one of the best companies to work for.
Cons
12 hour shifts are all that are available when working in production and that is rigidly held unless you're in extrusion or scrub. Overtime is also asked frequently. I've worked over 80 hours in a week at times. If you don't like hard work, this isn't for you. It's loud and you need to wear eat protection. This isn't much of the environment to sit and chat with people if that's what you like.
