Seriously dont know where to start. The dishonesty, lack of transparency and disregard of people as individuals is most glaring. This company structure is set up in a way that wouldn't work in any other corporate structure. The amount of nepotism is unbelievable at the leadership level. Now even at the top of the sales team it's trickling down, Everyone in power is either a family member, a partner or a close friend of a friend. The rules get bent and twisted all day long if you're in that inner circle and dont waste your time going to People development(HR) they have no power to actually operate and do their jobs to protect the staff. They can and will dictate the numbers to pick winners and losers.
Previous reviews have brought it up but it is very cult like and cliquish. Dont fall for the 5 star reviews that show up within the same 3 days. You often receive emails that remind you to complete surveys or reviews and if you dont your name will be on a list emailed to leadership. Mottos like PMA or BHG builds people who builds people are literally brainwashed into you. You quickly learn after doing some research that you are nothing but a number to these people and the sales meetings expose that. Profane laced meetings in which your sales managers will threaten your jobs are weekly habits in sales (keep in mind we are subject to hearing these curse words in our house via zoom and MS teams meetings due to remote working), Monthly meetings in which you will be told how lucky you are to be employed are normal.
Lack of work life balance for people not in that inner circle is a problem, whats the point of having a work schedule and being told to clock in and clock to then be criticized for completing your tasks and taking time for yourself, they stopped paying overtime so why should we be pressured to work weekends after working a full work week just for you to give the same opportunities and awards to the same people every month. Using your PTO is frowned upon.
I can't imagine what the morale would be like if we were all in the office, turnover would be sky high, but BHG doesn't care, the sales academy clown show is here to save the day. The churn and burn mentality that the department is built off of is the opposite of the core family values the company preaches.
Ownership needs to be more hands on with the people and stop only looking at the numbers that are being manipulated. Your sales leaders put people where they want them. Its not an even playing field when it comes to opportunity and that can obviously dictate performance.
