Pros

Bit-Wizards’ innovation was treating people well. During the Dot Com Boom of the late nineties and the subsequent bubble burst software engineers were being courted by every company offering more and more stuff to get engineers. The bubble burst wasn’t just the exuberance of the Internet, but the failure to develop working projects because they couldn’t keep consistent engineers. Bit-Wizards was formed to create a great place for engineers. A commitment to getting good equipment, investing in training, social & stress relieving activities. By focusing on the engineer the developer would stay loyal and do great work which would keep clients coming back and the company would benefit. It is a great three way symbiotic relationship. In a field where turn over occurs nearly every two years Bit-Wizards boast engineers who have been with the company for 10 years and more. Cool projects are specifically sought to keep the engineers challenged and interested. Our 6 core values include: Ownership Thinking, Lifelong Learner, Trusted Adviser, Make It So, Live the Wizard Life, and Be the Magic. 6 core value to guide our actions and decisions in a culture that is not a gotcha culture. Bit-Wizards is a great place to work!

Cons

Consulting companies can not have a 4 day work week :(

Pros

The work type is so broad I've been able to broaden my knowledge in the cloud, networking, coding and so much more. The people are great to, fun to work with and always willing to help you grow as a person and as an engineer.

Cons

None that currently come to mind.

Pros

This is a growing company in a couple of lines of business. They are one of a few companies in the area that are really paying a wage large enough to be able to afford to live there.

Cons

Management has been less than transparent and frankly pretty nepotistic and there are a lot of favorites. Good luck if you aren't one of them.
