Pros

the benefits are good and the employees are nice

Cons

csl will overwork you and expect you to work longer than you are scheduled. the phleb full time position is only $14.68 an hour. you are required to work every other weekend. shifts are around 8 hours with an unpaid hour lunch with two 15 min breaks. but our location only got one break. your breaks and lunches are not a priority. if you are closing, your lunch will be an hour into your shift. (your shift starts at 1:00 and you take your lunch at 2:00) weekends you work 10 hour days with only a 30 min lunch and maybe a break. the company has a strict attendance policy and will not give you any exceptions, even if it’s not your fault. you are expected to get every venipuncture correct. every stick is counted for and they keep track of every milliliter of plasma you lose. even if the donation has to end due to reasons that are out of your control, it will still be count against you. most of the donors are nice, but there are many donors who treat the employees badly or break the rules and they will only get a slap on the wrist. one of our employees passed away and there was no statement, no grief counseling, and we were expected to work like nothing happened. the company does not care about the well-being and health of their employees overall, this company will overwork you to the point of exhaustion and they see you as an expendable employee. do not work for them
