Pros

Remote work is the standard

Cons

Not really teaching. Everything is prepackaged modules, usually out of date and innaccurate, that adjuncts are to follow strictly.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and concerns regarding working at CSU Global. We appreciate your feedback and take all comments seriously, as we continuously strive to create a work environment focused on the professional success of our faculty and driving positive outcomes for our students after graduation. We value faculty feedback greatly, as it helps us continually improve the online experience for our learners. At CSU Global, our goal is to serve students' needs for a dynamic education and ensure that they have a consistent experience. The University hires faculty experts who work with their department leads to revise every course annually. All faculty are also encouraged to review the online courses that they teach, share thoughts with their department leader, and use our course update ticketing system to make content corrections at any time. The University offers career-ready learning that is standardized by course to ensure each student receives quality content. Faculty ensure that students feel supported in every course through interactions with classmates and their instructors, by guiding classroom conversations and providing assessments that contain deep, individualized feedback. Every instructor is asked and encouraged to personalize their instruction, engage with students and the material, offer their insights to department leads and students about the subjects, and draw connections between students’ experience and the content, to provide a career-connected, work-ready, educational experience. Our goal at CSU Global is to promote an environment where faculty feel welcomed, valued, and supported. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to reach out to your department lead to share your specific concerns regarding our program structure and provide your perspective on how to continue to support an engaged learning environment.

Pros

Fully remote work and I get to work with a great team that is hard working and supporting.

Cons

The workload is pretty heavy, so if you don't enjoy your job, it would be hard to stay motivated and keep up the pace.

Pros

None, they mislead you into taking a three week unpaid training with no promise of work. Rate them less than zero.

Cons

Unethical university. Unpaid "hunger games" style unpaid training that leads to being ghosted even if you do all the work.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. At CSU Global, we strive to maintain a culture of transparency and respect for all our faculty and prospective faculty members, and we take your concerns seriously. Our goal is to ensure that our hiring process is a meaningful investment in our faculty’s success. We view the mentored course period as a vital step in that process. It is designed to ensure that all prospective faculty are fully prepared to deliver the high standard of education our students expect and deserve. This phase allows us to confirm that an instructor’s teaching style aligns with our specific curriculum and student needs before a formal appointment is made. We recognize that this is a time commitment for professionals. To ensure all candidates receive clear expectations, it is part of our process to provide clear communication on the course and its timeline in the initial interview process, as well as provide updates to all candidates on the results. We would appreciate the opportunity to learn more about your specific experience; please reach out to our Human Resources team directly so we can address your concerns and work toward continuously improving our processes for future candidates.
