Pros
CVS had by far the best benefits package of any company I ever worked for. Training is extensive and communication was sufficient. As a store manager I was able to manage without having upper management looking over my shoulder.
Cons
I had absolutely no time with my family. Upper management likes to turn a blind eye and deaf ear toward the store managers that are not doing their jobs. Stores with bad managers are left to fall apart as long as the manager gives the district manager and regional manager lip service and keeps them snowed. Then once the store is in complete and utter disarray, they are replaced with another manager (me) who is left to clean up and fix up a dishevelled store with a staff of established employees who have been allowed by the previous manager to make their own schedules, slack off, and basically do whatever they did or did not want to do.
