Pros

None. None None None. None.

Cons

I am going to tell a real story of today. Capco won a project (they are saying a big deal, I doubt who is giving work to capco) and they need people in Pune. Capco fired all almost all its employees in Pune. now they need to hire. Who will join this company. And I can see the pain today when a manager in office reaching out to employees who are left to be fired and requesting to refer suitable candidates, he was aware in his heart that no one going to join or refer this company...and everyone was telling him yes they will refer and making joke of him at his back (actually feeling pity for him) behind him each one was smiling to see the pain this is bound to happen the ship is sinking and will sink If you are reading, don't join as a matter of fact...whoever left here, they are only doing job search. In few weeks no one will be here

Capco Response

Thank you for the feedback. Capco took the difficult, but necessary decision, to re-structure the business in Pune in order to maintain its long term future and viability. We have very recently won new work and are looking to recruit in order to deliver this work which is good news for Capco Pune. There have now been several posts referring to the Pune business. I urge you to raise your issues directly with our leaders so that we can fully respond to your concerns. The firm has robust provisions in place to protect those who air any genuine grievances in good faith and I urge you to take advantage of these without any fear of repercussions. It is in your interests and Capco’s to address issues of concern and we are keen to engage in this dialogue. Please feel free to reach out to the local leadership or HR team, or alternatively contact our Global HR Lead, David Heffernan.

Pros

Varied client work — Different clients and project types, which keeps things interesting. Real project mobility — You can move between projects when you advocate for yourself (within reason). Approachable leadership — Senior leaders are open to conversations if you reach out. Good development resources — Plenty of training and growth opportunities if you take advantage of them. Strong teams — Colleagues are smart, capable, and great to work with. Entrepreneurial environment — New ideas are encouraged, and there’s room to take initiative.

Cons

Long hours vary by project — Like most any professional job, some engagements require extended hours for prolonged periods, but work–life balance really depends on the client and team. Additional internal responsibilities — Depending on level, there can be a significant amount of firm‑support work outside of client delivery. Domain alignment not guaranteed — You may not always be staffed on projects that match your domain expertise. Coaching alignment constraints — Coaching relationships are tied to domain, which limits flexibility in choosing formal mentors. Long engagements (sometimes) — Some projects run for long durations or through multiple extensions. It can provides stability but may reduce variety in client and project experience depending on what you’re looking for.
