Pros
Super approachable across the hierarchy High demand for work at the moment Very sociable. This is off the back off the pandemic, people are coming into the office more and more and everyone seems to be loving the social interaction which is great. Growing client base Very impressive diversity at associate-senior consultant levels. Can't tell for more senior positions. A good and bad thing is that CAPCO is very open and flexible in the overall career path you can take, however, you really have to steer and drive it to get what you want from it. Some people prefer a more fixed programme.
Cons
Just a word of warning, a vast majority of the projects/accounts that CAPCO has are what's called "resource augmentation" where you supplement the client's workforce as opposed to pure consulting opportunities where you are brought in to solve a specific problem. The projects are still highly engaging and you learn a lot, but this was different to what I thought of consulting. HR systems (e.g. the recruiting process) can be quite disorganised with poor communication. Side effects of the rapid growth of the company. Don't get to choose your first project.
