Pros
Came across many seasoned CRC and other coworkers trying their almighty best.
Cons
Seasoned CRC were certainly not formed at this company. There is layers of operational folks misdirecting every step of the way. Clinical staff is not considered. Metrics are first at ALL costs. True talent is cornered, quieted and never given opportunity to thrive. Many CRC were laid off after burning them to the ground with the Pfizer ordeal. Nothing was learned, the company is top heavy with non-clinical management and these are the people tossing CRC who are burned out, demoralized, over worked. Yes, overworked: there is a travel day to/from in between the next assignment, hoping a layover didn’t happen, there’s no time for their personal affairs, nor family time, no life balance. No incentives, much less bonus! No sense of being. Travel is hard, jump from one plane to the next, hotel room to the next hotel and car rental. The CRC is expected to roll out with their punches. “If you don’t like it, you know what to do”. No such 40 hours more like, 65-75 even 80 hours a week “on salary”, Basically turning into 10.00 an hour for many. No rest days, no Saturday and Sunday or Monday and Tuesday. You must take your PTO days to schedule doctors, birthdays, funerals, sick time, covid. The CRC is not allowed to stay at a site and perform CRC roles, although delegated to such. Instead a CrC will go around like a circus, setting up tents, tables, blood draw stations, rushing through consents and sticking people, and be done with it. “Next guest “participant” please” or you are taking too long, hurry it up a bit. These are marketing events burning down the CRC, making the company a wealth Of money, and the guest becoming a “participant” a “significant” lab=data $$$. They are growing their database on certain comorbidities. The CRC plays no important role, just lab draw and obtaining a generic consent. Nothing learned. Nothing to be excited about, nothing to look forward to. CRC having trouble finding work when this company appears on their resume. Again I would repeat, the CRC was not formed at Care Access.
