Pros
Meaningful company mission and vision.
Cons
- The job description and interview aren’t remotely similar to what you’ll be required to do.
- No job training or onboarding specific to your role.
- Inadequate systems, processes, and technology to meet expectations. (No dual screens, employee laptops, outdated phone system, no central crm system, etc.)
- No equity in accountability amongst staff.
- No standard of professionalism. (no common courtesy or kindness, but plenty of cursing, threats, name-calling, intimidation tactics, fear mongering, bullying, and harassment)
- Those in leadership abuse their power and force coordinators and assistant level employees to do work far beyond their job description and department.
- Culture of brutality, abuse, and hostility.
- Lateral violence is a serious concern at this organization.
- There is no true representative of HR in this space. Incidents get reported, concerns are made, and nothing is done. Everything simply gets worse from that point on.
- No space/appreciation for creativity or new ideas. The ask is that everything remain just as it was in 1977.
- Being positive and a champion for change will ultimately make you a target.
- Very reactive work place. It is not favorable for you to get in front of an issue, the preference is for you to react to the issues.
- Holiday celebrations and staff recognition are not the norm. I wrote and submitted many proposals to assist with culture and to help promote positivity in the work place.
- Leadership is anti-Professional Development
