Pros

The only good thing about this company is the brand association with EIU

Cons

Across various offices we are all worried about the company’s future and its ability to execute any vision in a growingly competitive environment. They brought in a director who joined us from a large client last year and her resignation was already announced one week ago. I was shocked with how this company couldn’t keep the director for even 1 year. In the announcement, that director was referring to a software as a service product to reinvigorate the current data product offerings, which are very outdated and based on excel. This was the first time I heard about SaaS being developed in the company and it would have been very good for the company. But now with her departure, I seriously doubt much would be put in place as the senior leadership in this company always resists change and sticks to their old-fashioned way of doing things. I won’t be surprised if our competitors offered her a better deal, not something hard to achieve anyway. Attrition rates are consistently high here. 50% turnover in one year is considered normal, and 75% has happened before in recent past. Recent experiences show that the company not only has trouble retaining junior but also senior professionals who can bring unique skillsets that none of this company’s leadership has. It confirms a few reviews on this forum that this company may not have potential to grow and can’t deal with diversity and differences. Fresh grads should seriously re-consider joining a company with high attrition rate and no senior leaders who can look beyond protecting their own image. You are unlikely to learn new things after a few months. Moreover, the senior leaders may even instruct you to follow outdated practices just so that you can stay within their comfort zone. We are not all in the same locations to observe but the theme comes across quite strongly. To the company, analysts are no more than robots delivering long hours. Once you’re burnt out they’ll just side line you and wait for you to quit. The relationship is only transactional. If you are looking to experience a real company culture that would develop your career, please stay away. On the flip side, if you want to learn from a bad example of company culture, this is the place to watch the circus show.
