Pros

Some great colleagues and some nice customers. You can join the union.

Cons

1 on 1 working, unable to take breaks because of extremely heavy workload and 1 on 1 working means you're always on demand for deliveries, helping at the till or deliveroo, poor amount of weekly hours limiting the amount of staff on shifts at any one time, poor training, 9 staff leaving in 2 months, extremely heavy workload, enormous pressure, unrealistic expectations, excuses and ignorance during meetings with area manager to discuss working lifestyle, no reasonable adjustments made for the sick or injured, constant issues with handheld equipment and devices and major mistakes made concerning holiday allocation from HR.

Pros

Team got on well, hours weren't particularly harsh (pay not particularly impressive either)

Cons

Overworked due to corporate ruthlessly cutting hours (while hiring more staff?), generally piling on more and more work to the store team without considering time constraints, absolutely no opportunity for advancement while a store manager is already there
