Pros

The product is very promising and there is a a lot of potential for growth. Multiple solid contracts already secured. Engineers will be hands-on immediately with a lot of responsibility.

Cons

Engineering staff are overworked and underpaid. Young people just starting their careers are lured in by the idea of a startup, but are asked to work on nights and weekends without compensation. The culture encourages other teams to pile work onto the engineers and the managers do not stop this.

Thank you for the feedback! While you share some optimism about what we're doing and where we're going, we obviously have a lot of work to do to get there. We are very sorry to hear you are having a negative experience up to this point feeling overworked and underpaid. Improving how work is getting done and collaboration across the various teams is very important to us and hope we can implement some changes soon. You pointed out compensation and we agree with you as we came to the realization we had to be more competitive. That is why we are in the middle of our mid-year reviews which will lead to merit increases across the board. We are confident this will help alleviate that problem while our additional benefits and perks continue to improve each year. Thank you again for the feedback and we encourage you to bring your concerns directly to us. While it might seem obvious and assumed the concerns are noticeable, a conversation will go a long way. If you feel comfortable doing so, we'd love to talk with you in a confidential manner
