This technology is absolutely fascinating, so on the day to day we're solving really interesting problems and learning a ton. We are an early stage company in a hot new field, but led by industry pioneers so we have a lot of credibility. The people we work with are great. The office environment is comfortable with a lot of little perks like daily catered lunches and a snack and coffee inventory that is determined at the request of employees. And I love our people. In my personal experience, the executive leadership team has been really supportive and receptive to pursuing passion projects that use this technology in areas that our company doesn't directly work with and it's so rare to have that kind of support.

We don't have a ton of women in senior leadership positions yet, but we are aware of that and working on it. For a startup, we also don't have a lot of young talent, and it feels like more of a 9-5 than whatever it takes to GSD sort of environment, with the exception of a small group. We are mostly former corporate employees gone startup mode, so has the feel of a corporation more than a startup. It is up North, and that is not ideal for young people who live closer to the action in the heart of downtown or East Austin.
