Pros
The CEO is extremely intelligent and has a lot of passion and vision.
Extra days off to refresh.
Flexible time off.
Santa Clara offices are beautiful and in a great location.
Cons
Constant changing of processes in which it was difficult to stay aligned.
Constant restructuring and role changes.
Extremely ambiguous environment.
Favoritism- if you’re liked, you know.
If you’re not liked, you know.
Unfortunately, this put road blocks in people’s career growth and promotions.
A lot of corporate politics weaved through the orgs.
A lot of two faced people and leaders which created an environment of not knowing who to trust.
It operates in a start up mentality which makes it extremely hard to scale programs and properly resource for initiatives. Fast paced and growing is great, but when it becomes unmanageable for so many teams you need to reevaluate resources and pump the brakes. People are burning out.
I could see Cohesity getting purchased if they do ever IPO.
Other peers who left shared they were over worked and over looked but the expectations were always unobtainable with leaders not listening and only wanting things done how they thought it should be done.
I know their are some really great humans working there dealing with a lot of this and they deserve better.
