Pros
I liked the pay, and I liked the company a lot more when it was known as ARRIS. Other than that, CommScope was the worst working experience in my 45 year career that THEY brought to a screeching halt with my layoff.
Cons
Overextended company couldn't slow down their ravenous desire to acquire other companies, until their debt load left them a burning, carcass of a no-longer great company. Senior Leadership Team (SLT) formed a circle with their wagons to protect themselves while using employees as human shields for their own incompetence. Well known fact that employees had matching contributions to 401K's halted, frozen pay increases, and loss of year end bonuses WHILE CommScope SLT continued to give themselves big, fat salary increases and bonuses regardless of how the company was doing. SLT is nothing more than vultures feasting on the last redeemable parts of the company that they can sell off. They'll eventually depart for greener pastures, while the shellshocked employees wonder where their lives went so wrong.
