Pros

Group Medical Insurance is provided

Cons

Strategically, growth plans have not panned out and the company has plenty of industry competition offering better alternatives. Tactically, there’s general Leadership distrust of employee performance unless heads are constantly in view. 5X/week in-office work schedule is very 1990. No hope for remote/flexible work schedule, leading to imbalanced work/life and so heavy turnover to more modern work/life balance. Half Fridays are a joke since workers can’t leave town for an extended weekend, yet still go must go. through all the same burdens of being at the office on Friday for 4 short hours.

Pros

Half Day Fridays. Some people are nice

Cons

-Constant Turnover - Commercial department (CEO’s pet) keeps losing people every month -Poor Leadership - CEO talks big in town Hall meetings. Paints a rosy picture on how the company is growing and then walks back to his office and lays off more people. -CEO handpicks every single person from director level up and then micromanages them. Capital Projects Review Committee Meeting is a joke. It's mainly used by the CEO to get a pulse on the gossip in the office and feed his ego and play favorites. -No upward movement and no chance of upward movement. -Always need to watch your back, commercial and finance leadership will sell your soul to the CEO and then you will get laid off. -CEO just bought the office next door, renovated it, put more cubicles and offices and then laid off 6 more employees during Thanksgiving. Classic case of not knowing what the right hand is doing to the left. -CEO also picks and chooses what color of cables the IT should use, which employee should sit in what cubicle. Looks like a lot of free time is available. -Favoritism. It so gross that it reeks from the CEO during monthly birthday celebrations. -HR department is overstaffed. One person draws huge salary only to do orientation of new employees and then terminate them a year later. A robot can do that. -If you get a job here, then start looking in another year because layoff will be coming.
