Pros
Pay and benefits are comensurate with industry average. Only scheduled to work 14 days a month, however you can never depend on getting your days off.
Cons
Longevity of shift work makes it difficult on relationships, especially when your days off are bombarded with having to cover overtime. Advancement is almost impossible even with a college degree and multiple years of experience. Production technicians are treated like second class citizens all while given increasing responsibilities and expected to accomplish more with less. Management through fear is common practice.
