First of all, DBDS was sold to HKA Enterprises back in 2018. No more "family feel" like we had with Roger Cady as CEO. Every year, HKA reduces or removes key benefits.
As far as HKA salary/benefits:
1) Low salaries compared to the national average
2) Don't expect any pay raise, ever. The only way to get a raise is to threaten to quit. Even then it will be around 2 or 3%.
3) No bonuses. No recognition for a job well done.
4) No 401k match
5) No vacation time unless you agree to a reduced base salary
6) No paid holidays
7) No sick time for many remote workers outside of Connecticut
8) No discretionary time off - no exceptions
9) HKA HR is inconsistent. I've lost count of how many errors I found with my paycheck. I always keep an eye on it especially after any benefit changes.
