Pros

Unlimited PTO, credits to shows

Cons

Multiple rounds of layoffs, complete lack of transparency, poor leadership starting at the very top that trickles down the chain, no transparency, a boys club.

Pros

The most amazing people I've ever worked with. Decent pay. My managers truly care about me and stick up for me, which I can say about very few jobs I've ever had. Workation, unlimited PTO. Remote work. Decent health insurance. Monthly DICE credit. I get to travel for work. Really great vibes and the least amount of toxicity/passive aggression that I've ever felt in a workplace -- I feel super supported by everyone I work with. The product itself is so innovative and has so much potential. I know I also describe a lot of cons, but I really need to emphasize that for me the pros have far outweighed them and I truly believe that DICE has come a long way and will only continue to improve.

Cons

The pay is decent, but I wouldn't say it's especially competitive. The DEI team is lovely and puts so much work into what they do, but hiring still has yet to actually be more diverse. Affected (like many companies were) by tech layoffs a few months ago - notably a lot of those who were let go were POC. There's a long way to go in terms of transparency and long term goals (though I have seen improvement in the time I've been here.) Your experience here hugely depends on the team you are on - myself and most of my team have had almost entirely positive experiences in regards to things that have affected us personally, but close colleagues from different teams have described massively different experiences. Priority is very much always given to the London and NYC offices - most other regions seem to be afterthoughts. (To be fair, these offices are where most employees are, but still.) There is a lot of work still to be done on the product itself but that often seems like it's de-prioritized compared to other things which can be frustrating.

Pros

Hybrid work policy if you are in a city with an office, some great people in middle management and below.

Cons

Leadership at the top has run what was once a promising company with tons of potential into the ground. Their targets for growth are completely delusional, but employees get blamed for not hitting unattainable targets. There are managers with little to no industry experience dismissing their direct reports who actually have experience and good ideas. The company is financially unstable. Partners and vendors weren’t getting paid on time and leadership doesn’t seem to care, and employees that do care are accused of being negative. The amount of gaslighting by leadership makes this a borderline psychologically unsafe place to work. There’s been 2 or 3 rounds of layoffs in the past year or so I’ve lost count. It’s not clear what the company is trying to accomplish at this point.
