Pros
There are exactly two good reasons to work at Determine. 1. You are a friend of one of the execs and get hired for an exec role with an outsized comp package and excessive, unnecessary travel. Don't worry, you won't be held accountable for huge losses, fleeing clients, employee turnover, or general dysfunction. 2. You are yourself not particularly competent or interested in personal or professional growth, and are content doing the bare minimum and collecting a below market paycheck while trying to avoid the notice of incompetent management.
Cons
It almost goes without saying, but the rave 5-star reviews are fake, written and posted by or at the behest of management. You'll notice uncanny similarities in the glowing praise for the "opportunities for career advancement" and management that "really gets it," the starry-eyed faith in the company's direction, and the attempts in the Cons section to write off the negative reviews as coming from lazy former employees who "quit becuase they dont like the pressure of having to work hard and perforrm." At best, this "business" is essentially a scam the executives are running on a few bafflingly credulous investors, the largest of whom recently died, hopefully affording him some respite from the pain of contemplating the millions of dollars he lost on many inexplicable investments in Determine. The only ones who benefit are the executives collecting generous comp packages as a reward for racking up huge losses and losing clients quarter after quarter. At worst, the point of the business may be to lose money. I won't say much more, but there aren't many aboveboard reasons for a business and its investors to be this apparently content losing money. If you have even the faintest modicum of respect for yourself, avoid employment here like your life depends on it.
