Others have laid it out better and in more detail so I highly suggest you read those. I will add that they knew they had lost the contract I was hired to before they hired me and never told me/straight up lied when I asked the length of the contract. No severance or anything of the sort. No attempt was made to do right by their employees: didn’t even attempt to help find alternate employment, write letters of rec, or anything that a good company should do. I did ask for these, and didn’t even get a response. Wasn’t even worth a quick email response. Despite screwing us over, Fifteen minute zoom call was the only interaction we had with the directviz pm/boss in 6 months. Luckily, I didn’t end up needing any of that and was happy to get as far away from directviz as possible.
I do not know how directviz continues to win government contracts. If you look at their us spending page, they never more than a few years on a contract. My recommendation to the gov is save yourself the time, and don’t award them in the first place. Terrible, terrible company, that doesn’t care about the quality of work delivered to the client once they win it.
Tldr: a manifestation of all the worst parts of government contractors. If you value yourself, do yourself a favor and stay away.
