Pros

Monday through Friday schedule, no evenings, paid holidays. Salary can be decent if you have put yourself in a position to negotiate with your DM or RM. If your operation is running smoothly, and your client is happy, you will probably never see your DM or RM.

Cons

The amount of paperwork is astounding. I could actually spend all day at my desk doing safety stuff, corporate CYA paperwork, CHAT training, surveys, etc. It NEVER ends. Then, once you think you have caught up, they add something else for you to do on a weekly or monthly basis. It is very much a "thrown into the fire" type of learning experience. Managers are essentially neutered when it comes to firing or sever disciplining of their direct reports as HR is always trying to play CYA. God forbid if you need to fire someone. There are like four levels of approval needed and an unrealistic paper trail of documentation. In the five years I have been here, I have noticed a drastic shift in attitude regarding food. Used to be that you had the autonomy to purchase different items from different vendors, thus allowing you the ability to source preferred items. Not any longer. They are now more concerned with their kickbacks from national vendors, meaning you end up in trouble if you do not buy your cheese from the right vendor. You are also forced to purchase a large order of "opportunity buy" substandard product every month. They are also heavily promoting "recharge" items. This means you will automatically receive items from a vendor whether you want them or not. Overall, a very difficult place to

Pros

preparing the meals was the only good part.

Cons

Management is not very professional and will run your life force dry. They will overwork you by adding additional work and expecting you to complete the impossible. Management does not like to hire and will over work their current employees to stress and burnout. There is no time for rest, only fast paced continuous work. You get one thirty minute meal break that consists of bland breakfast after only working 2.5 hrs. You're not allowed to eat the lunch you prepared. There is zero respect for your life outside of work. To Eurest/Compass you are only a performing monkey. Run while you can.
