Pros
Easy barrier to entry if you want to get into game testing Opportunity to work on AAA and indie game titles Great opportunity to work directly with game developers
Cons
Starting pay was comically low at $13/hr. They claim there are opportunities to grow and advance for example you can move from Test Associate I all the way up to III however the pay increase amounts to no more than a few dollars. I started at $13/hr as a TA I and by the time I got to TA III I was only making $16/hr. Don't let the title advancement fool you. Your responsibilities grow but the money in your wallet doesn't. Oh and you barely accrue PTO so good luck if you get sick for a few days out of the year and want to take a vacation. You'll likely run out of PTO and not get paid for the extra days you need to take off.
