Pros

None to Mention. A Shame.

Cons

Employees frequently experience burnout due to high workloads and inadequate support systems, leading to decreased productivity and morale. The company has a history of abrupt layoffs, causing uncertainty and distress among employees, especially when done without transparent justification. Flo terminated many of the factory staff just a week before Christmas without consideration for the impact on individuals and their families, creating a sense of insecurity and betrayal among employees. While other teams had their bonus still and additional advantages for Christmas. Inappropriate behavior during company events often goes unaddressed, fostering a culture of impunity and discomfort among staff. Promotions are based on tenure rather than qualifications, creating a sense of unfairness and discouraging employees from striving for advancement based on merit. HR often fails to advocate for employees' interests, leaving many concerns unresolved and causing confusion due to a lack of clear communication. Additionally, there is a pattern of distorting the truth, eroding trust in the HR department and company leadership. Managers spend too much time in meetings and micromanaging, hurting team productivity. They need to work smarter and give their teams space to excel! Managers claiming to work 9-5? More like half that, if even! Setting a poor example for the team!

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We're sorry that your experience at FLO has left you with such a negative impression. It is true that the economic situation forced us to make temporary layoffs recently with the intention of recalling people in the coming months. It was a difficult decision for the organization and all the employees, but it seemed wise to do it now to ensure the viability of the company and also to allow the families affected to adjust their spending before the holiday season. We all hope that conditions will allow us to reintegrate our colleagues quickly. We have been working with each of the people affected and are following up regularly, as we understand the impact of this decision on them and their families. The company has taken steps to reduce expenses (business travel, hiring, etc.) so that everyone can contribute. There were no bonus payments, as these are normally paid after the fiscal year, based on financial results. Despite the many new hires to meet its growth challenges, FLO has enabled many employees to grow, as demonstrated by the 75 internal mobility moves made this year. Skills, performance, individual interest and business needs are all taken into account to enable willing employees to excel in new roles. According to the last two engagement surveys conducted in 2022 and 2023, the FLO employee engagement rate is over 85%. Despite these encouraging results, the Talent (HR) team is constantly developing initiatives in collaboration with the Executive team to better support managers and their teams so that everyone can realize their full potential and put into practice the FLO values of collaboration and caring. We invite you to communicate openly with the HR department at talent@flo.com. Your comments can help us to improve our employees' careers within the organization.

I have been very impressed with their honesty and balanced approach to business. Even when making tough business decisions they have been honest about why and what they feel is best. I appreciate them treating employees like professionals who can handle the ups and downs of business. They offer a fair salary and good benefits.

Cons

No major cons, The industry is new and ever changing so you have growth and the usual growing pains that come with it.

Pros

Remote working, flexibility, easy 9 to 5

Cons

Investors do not trust the leadership team anymore. A bunch of consultants have been hired by the board, and they are very old school, not modern, not polite. Expect to be laid off at any time, even though you are doing a good job and among the best contributors. They let go their entire marketing team for the second time, same with the sales team. It’s never the management team’s fault. Wrong people in directors and VP positions, friends promoting friends.
