Pros
Great learning experience for all printing capabilities. You will learn so much about banners, posters, high volume printing, time management, and organization. The pay is pretty good for a retail position, but this job requires so much more than just retail. You will learn so much about shipping products as well. There is a great network for seeking help with tech support, or anything else. As a company, I enjoyed it so much, but this store lacked leadership and management.
Cons
The location I was at was constantly short staffed, and then you will constantly be told to cut payroll by management and corporate. You would spend the majority of your shifts alone, regardless of how busy it was. Managing two POS systems as well as monitoring any incoming orders and emails could be very stressful without any team members on hand. You would work every single weekend, again most of it by yourself. You could only run to the bathroom if no one was in the store and you locked up really quick. If you work Sunday, you will work a 7 hour shift with no lunch or break because you are the only person there. As for upward mobility, they would rather hire off the street for management than promote from within, and then they will ask you to train your new superior. You will ask for training repetitively for a new position and be told there "just is not enough time to train you yet" for six months solid. During my time there, two full time and two part time people left the store, and only two part time people were hired to replace this loss, and we were still "over payroll."
