Pros

Vehicle discounts, good benefits, decent compensation package, challenging work environment, opportunities for advancement exist for those willing to play the game

Cons

No respect for work/life balance, although overtime is paid for some salaried employees, it is typical to put in for 20 hours of overtime during a pay period and have an area manager arbitrarily decide you will be paid for less than half of them. The company owns you. I have known people whose vacations to Europe were cancelled at the last second because they were suddenly needed to fill in for a manager's pet employee. My area manager used to throw his two-way radio at people and berate supervisors in front their employees.

Pros

Pretty easy job, low stress, good work life balance, nice people. If you just want a place where you can maintain a stable career, with decent pay, and a good work life balance, you could do much worse than Ford.

Cons

Terrible leadership decisions. ADAS got wrecked over the past 2 years. Most of the talented engineers that I knew have moved on. Part was intentional attrition via return to office mandates and the rest was just the fact that the talented folks who could easily get new jobs got frustrated enough to leave. If you're interested in deep technical work related to autonomy, robotics, ADAS, etc - Ford is not the place you want to be. All of the interesting work has been moved to Latitude, Ford ADAS is mostly just supplier management now.
