Pros
Potentially interesting assignments, drowned out by poor and detached and disjonted management. The question is whether these issues are due to total incompetency or something else. The leadership knows how to spend the money on themselves. All that said, co-workers are really bright, really good at their jobs. It is sad to see the morale collapsing.
Cons
Constant blame of regular employees for lack of new business. "Old Boy's Club / hire your worthless buddies" mentality. Junior engineering staff expected to fill the gaps somehow for incompetent business "leadership". At times there are more VPs then regular employees. Misrepresentation of company capabilities to clients. The best employees laid off or quitting due to defense budget cuts and lack of new business even though similar companies are doing fine. Little to no respect for employees attempting to "do whatever it takes". Any attempt to display or share concerns is taken as insubordination. Company management is in "don't care" phase now.
