Unless you need visa sponsorship, do not stay in this abusive relationship - Illustrator Fuhu Employee Review

I've never been in an abusive relationship, but Fuhu, Inc. had allowed me to second-handily experience how it must be like! It was truly eye-opening! I googled "signs of an abusive relationship" and what came up had striking similarities to what a typical Fuhu employee goes through on a daily basis: * Emotional Abuse (name calling, criticizing, “joking” in a demeaning or embarrassing way): when the president gets mad, you can hear him roar. The roaring of the F-words echoes through upper-management's walkie talkies and sends chills down the spines of the managers, who hail to the president as the almighty savior to their uninspiring careers. The managers then pass down the anger by berating their employees in an unprofessional manner. Meetings are called in order to humiliate the poor scapegoats. Criticisms are not constructive as they generally focus on personal attacks instead of professional development *Intimidation (uses threats, looks or gestures to scare partner): The Emperor of Fuhu walks by with his posse and the hall way is suddenly silenced. With a simple gesture, another soldier falls and his desk emptied. Fear tactic is used as the number 1 weapon to control employees. No job security whatsoever as people are constantly fired without warning. I have literally seen people shaking in the bathroom after talking to a director. *Isolation (control what partner does, sees, goes): Who needs a real family when you can be a part of this Fuhu family?!Because you love Fuhu, you stay close to the company to work on holidays instead of going home to your family. Who needs friends when you must work 10 hours/day and go to mandatory socials after work ends at 7PM? You will be told how to dress, how to act, and even how to talk. You will also be told who you should befriend within the company, and be asked to spy on your teammates and report signs of disloyalty to the managers. Let managers give you a total makeover so you can be crowned Miss Fuhu, Model Employee. *Denies Responsibility (blames partner for emotions and behavior): What?! Nah! There is no way upper-managers throw their employees under the bus for their mess-ups because Fuhu’s management team is absolutely perfect! As you can see, Fuhu, Inc. has no bad reviews on Glassdoor, look at all the glowing 5 star reviews written by various happy employees! (BTW, these happy employees must be ninjas because they could not be seen at the office) *Uses Children (threatens to take them away from the partner): the biggest irony is that the company produces tablets for children, but those working at Fuhu will never have time to see their children *Financial Control: Fuhu would like to make sure that you know you are worthless and therefore should never ever ask for ridiculous things such as: a vacation, or even worse, a raise…or, *gasp* a promotion!! Asking for these things shows that you are a horrible person so you might as well go fire yourself right now.
