Pros

- The GE name is worth something. - Leadership programs are good for young grads - Comprehensive product line

Cons

I was at GE for a couple years selling imaging systems, although I didn't make out too bad and left on good terms, GE Healthcare is not an employer I would recommend to other sales professionals. - Very high turnover, more than half my team was gone in 2 years including 3 managers. GE sales is churn and burn, they don't give new reps much of a chance and if you have a slow territory, you could be out of a job pretty quickly. I saw many very talented reps get pushed out because GE didn't have the patience to invest in their success. - No commission cap but exceed 100% and your pay factor may actually drop, contrast that to other companies who pay 2x-5x more over plan. - Comp plans are hit or miss and there are numerous gotchas that impact total compensation. Year to year quotas may increase substantially for little to no reason. - Toxic culture, I still cringe thinking about it. - Company is too big and has become sloppy in many respects. Try calling One HR to vet out benefits, I got a 30min+ wait time every single time! Little things like this add up to a bad experience. My point in all of this is that you can do better as a sales pro. Many device companies have accelerators once you hit plan and have a decent work life balance. If you're looking for consistent high earning (250k+) and a good culture, this isn't the company. If you are younger and just getting into sales, GE may be a good move for a few year. My focus here is on sales professionals, I can't speak to other positions like engineering or operations.

Pros

Cool project, that was it honestly. The bad outweighed the good.

Cons

DO NOT WORK HERE Not an emotionally or psychologically safe work environment. Toxic, dysfunctional, retaliatory culture with institutionalized gaslighting. The company is all about optics and theater. Whatever values or capital letter 'C' care they have in their name means nothing. Leadership's promises about respectful workplaces are lies. HR's claims about protections are also lies. GEHC cannot hold anyone accountable or create a culture where employees thrive. They think multi-million dollar campus renovations will fix cultural rot while C-suite leadership remains incompetent. Management engages in hostile behavior including: berating of employees behind closed doors, manipulating performance reviews as retaliation tools, making baseless accusations in closed-door meetings, and fabricating claims to coerce compliance. Reporting these issues with hard evidence results in the victim being pushed out while Management faces zero consequences. No accountability for management. No protections for employees. Paid 50% below market. Experienced employees can't afford homes. Wages are not competitive and haven't kept pace with cost of living. Everyone is grossly underpaid. Forced hybrid creates 90+ minute commutes from Milwaukee to Waukesha with minimal on-site value and poor information sharing. Everyone was miserable and a push to 5 days on-site will make it worse. LGBTQ+ employees: avoid this place. Not inclusive. Saw too many queer colleagues struggle and leave.
