Pros
For a major benefits office within a Fortune 500 consultant, Gallagher Dallas still feels like a very open, entrepreneurial place. Our team has been inventing new methods and capabilities in benefits and it's awesome to be a part of it. The leadership is very hands off, which is a pro and a con, but allows you to grow and become the kind of business unit you desire to be. It is a very exciting proposition when compared to the stale top-down bureaucracy of our competitors.
Cons
The only con to having flexibility, resources, and freedom is that you have to desire to make something special. There isn't handholding here, so you have to hustle. Training is provided, but you need to seek it out. Better systems are being created, but each individual needs to be strong.
