Pros

Zero - I've been in corporate America for over 20 years and this is THE WORST ENVIRONMENT I have ever encountered. I couldn't run fast enough out of there.

Cons

*The mothership is all remote - it's very hard for new employees to meet others, gain a sense of community, feel welcomed; I'm thankful for others on my floor who tried to connect - none of whom were actually on my team *For being a benefits company, their insurance is crazy expensive; like really Gallagher? You can do better - but you refuse to do so *Their onboarding sucks - make sure you ask your future manager what kind of training, outside of useless Zoom meet & greets, you will be receiving - it's a huge company, they just expected new employees knew how to navigate it *Employees are rude to those who are trying to learn how to navigate this HUGE company - weren't you new once? *Managers don't know how to manage - total micromanagement by email despite me coming in several times a week and being very good at using MS Teams; for Pete's sake - pickup the phone and/or a MS Teams video call; review at 3 months was like it was from another universe - absolutely zero time/consideration given for employees to get up to speed/onboard (this despite hitting deadlines VERY EARLY on) *Employees lack compassion for new employees to the company *Expected to be available 24/7 *Requested time off not respected - had scheduled a college visit (parents weekend) but couldn't leave because I had to finish a last minute request. Sorry Gallagher - my family comes first. I'll never let a company do that to me again. * They talk a nice talk about culture - only applies to certain folks; the culture on my team sucked * My team was run like a chicken with it's head cut off - constant fire drills which were unnecessary (arbitrary deadlines) *Did I say my manager sucked?

Pros

Great work-life balance as a remote employee. Management is approachable and genuinely willing to help when it comes to workload — you never feel like you're on your own.

Cons

Mentorship is largely self-driven. if you don't seek it out yourself, it won't come to you. Systems and internal processes can be slow and tedious, which adds friction to an already fast-paced workload. Compensation does not reflect the complexity or volume of work expected. High performers who are ready for the next step would benefit from clearer, more proactive promotion paths. When that structure is missing, talented people disengage quietly long before they ever leave.
