Pros
The people work hard and I had some great people I worked with. Some of the perks were great like Christmas parties, Concert, Ho Ho's
Cons
There is no team work. Because the review system is on a bell shaped curve, people feel like they need to back stab fellow employees to look good. They used to care about their employees, but that has gone out the window with the Roche buy out. They only care about the bottom line now, almost to the detriment of the employees. You used to feel like you were part of a greater cause and were working to make great drugs, while being a family. The family aspect is totally gone now. The fact that they are laying people off left and right, and that they are getting rid of the great employees with all the knowledge, is very disappointing. They are hiring new young people and replacing the older. The knowledge is leaving. You have to train new people constantly. The wheel is always being reinvented because they don't respect the knowledge and experience of the people who have been there and seen it. The work environment is so bad in Vacaville now. The moral is almost every department is horrible. People feel like there is no respect for them and they can be disposed of at anytime. People are leaving left and right because they don't know who is next. It is a scary place to work now, and management wants to keep it that way.
