Pros

Co-workers were great. Pay was above most compared to other help desk positions.

Cons

Management and policies were terrible. Extremely difficult to transfer departments for a career move. Benefits were expensive, you're better off getting insurance else where.

Pros

The company has your back; it shows how much it cares for its employees. Personnel moves are done in a way that makes sense, and they often put the right person in the right job and make changes quickly when necessary.

Cons

As contractors, you are bound to what the customer asks. And there is not much control over it, since you are contractually bound to support that customer. Even then, GDIT corporate makes sure to reach a good middle ground when changes are requested.

Good pay and flexible telecommute options

Cons

Extremely basic benefit offerings. There also seems to be a very wide chasm between GDIT internal (management/corporate) and front-line staff who are focused on the contract.
