Pros

Ability to work remotely versus daily office requirement.

Cons

Poor communication from attorneys to non-attorney staff, toxic managing attorney who disparages staff, discloses other staff members health issues and personal struggles regularly. Paralegals are very constricted when it comes to overtime, yet consistently have projects dropped on them that are due the same day and cannot be completed without incurring overtime. Billables frequently written off making it nearly impossible to achieve billable goals and get a salary increase. Horrible work/life balance. Office morale is subpar because management makes everything a popularity contest. Paralegals work off the clock on evenings and weekends in order to meet monthly billable goals. In general quality of work does not matter, nor do the clients - billing is all that matters. Technology frequently fails causing lengthy periods of time when work cannot be done.

Pros

Respected firm, objective bonus is nice on top of discretionary bonuses.

Cons

Lots of bureaucracy and the help that's promised is rarely actually available.

Pros

The Minneapolis office is a growing office with great opportunities for associates to get hands on involvement with depositions, motion practice and trials. I found my supervising partner to be a great mentor and person. She cared about me as a person and lawyer. I loved my time at Gordon Rees, but left for increased compensation.

Cons

Less than market pay. Senior associate laterals who were cliquey and sophomoric.
