Pros

Great peers to work with, MON-FRI job

Cons

Terrible management, work/life balance is awful. You will work overtime about 90% of the time, if you are first shift, plan on staying until, 6:30-7:30 at night. They will listen to all of your problems but in reality they will not do a thing about it. They will push one thing at a time per week. Have it be gap times, accuracy, or attendance. Whatever it may be they will talk and talk about it, and then move on to something completely different, but it will never be fixed. My biggest issue with this company is how they treat the employees. I will not even lie. I was terminated from the Grainger facility. Simply of the fact that Grainger will not take your side in any incident even if you are not at fault. They will find a way to blame you for it and take your job away, just like that. No matter how hard you try to work for the respect you think you deserve. You get 120% picks, no errors, and you mess up without it being your fault once or twice. You will be fired. Don't waste your time at this pathetic place they call work. They'll say that you are there working for your kids and family, but no. You're just working to put money in there pocket. They don't care about there employees. Which brings me to my next point. They have awful insurance for the company. The hiring process was rough. It took about 6 months just to get results back from my physical in order to be hired on. When i took leave for my child being born, i had to call the Grainger's leave hotline at least 8 times just to verify i ACTUALLY had my child. I can't warn anyone enough. STAY AWAY FROM GRAINGER.

Pros

Having worked for several other companies throughout my career, I can honestly say that Grainger provides the best employee training and development I've experienced. The amount of time, effort, and resources they invest in helping employees succeed exceeds every other company I've worked for combined. Grainger is committed to making sure everyone has the same opportunities to learn, grow, and advance. The company provides the tools, training, and support needed to build a successful career. The opportunities are there for everyone—you just need to ask questions, take initiative, and seek them out. Managers and teammates are supportive, and the overall culture encourages continuous learning and personal growth. In addition to the excellent training, Grainger offers a positive work environment, strong benefits, and a culture built on teamwork, safety, and customer service.

Cons

As with any large organization, some processes can take time due to multiple levels of approval. Workloads can also be demanding during busy periods, but the support from coworkers and leadership helps make those times manageable.
