Pros
Varied projects keep things interesting and the intrinsic benefits of remote working. Fast growth and great social events for the whole company but this may have contributued to large redundancies this year.
Cons
Pillar management really poor and often condescending to experts - expecting professionalism but also holding remote meetings while getting haircuts. Most management lacking experience having been promoted from freelancer positions early in the company building. Career opportunities are tangled to incentivise over-working, but real recognition of work goes to those who play the social game rather the team members who close deals. win grants or have technical expertise in their area. Several colleagues’ burnout leading to extended time off or quitting. Goal posts of expectations constantly moving. Morale of those in base level positions often very low. Often feel like you have to lie to clients about their chances of winning – quality of projects accepted is too low just to meet targets.
