Pros
Graybar offered a thorough training program for students fresh out of college to enter the industry. The company is employee owned and the benefits are great. The company's longstanding reputation in the marketplace and thorough supply chain processes enhanced the company's offering to its customer base. Job stability is strong and the company is trending in the right direction.
Cons
Glass ceiling pretty much sums it all up. Although trainees we're given the opportunity to visit corporate in St Louis, the hierarchy of mgmt at the district level was clearly defined. There was a huge lack of communication between levels of mgmt. When opinions we're expressed, they did not tend to be heard. The base compensation for entry level employees was inadequate for the Boston area.
