Pros
25% employee discount from day one generous vacation/sick time; holiday pay; birthday - paid day off. monthly bonuses for all employees if monthly goal is made opportunity to work one on one with managers and visuals ever changing environment (fitting room, register, sales floor) flexible hours and reasonale time off requests
Cons
a lot of work expected from the sales associates managers do not pull enough weight -- they get updates via the walkies understaffed most of the time; expected to stay 1hr-1 1/2hr after close they tend to hire too many people toward the end of the busy season that makes less hours for everyone else during the slow season. PS. internal promotions are far and few, there's plenty of job opportunities throughout the company yet they continue to hire externally. In turn the people who have waited for a promotion should expect to wait atleast a year to actually begin the training for a new title. On average, if the managers like you there's a better chance of getting promoted but the chances are still slim. Also be prepared to work your ass off and still have "work" to improve upon. Any sort of time and attendence issue or any other issue for that matter will be magnified when considered for promotion. Overall, the process is frustrating and unfair.
