Pros

HDR is flexible to a point. That’s about all that was good in my opinion.

Cons

Too much emphasis on management leaving the actual workers left behind, which inhibits progression in their professional growth. In addition, very poor internal training and lack of direction and support in external training and direction. Very entrepreneurship feeling, meaning you have to form your own career and success with very little support from management. There is a huge emphasis on ranking and while they seem ranked very high as an engineering company on paper it feels they are very behind under the blinds... for a company over 100 years old the carry over of drafting templates etc don’t exist so you create your own. Everything you do is from scratch, so be prepared for that. I don’t recommend this company unless you are going for something management or higher - you would regret it.

Pros

Culture, schedule flexibility, depending on management, remote work, and employee owned, okay benefits

Cons

Parking sucks. The office is in downtown so you have pay just about any where you park. Work is repetitive or stagnant sometimes.
