Pros

This is the best job I have ever had, and it's not just because of perks like working from home and being paid fairly. The company does amazing things and truly is a patient-centered organization that puts the patient's needs above everything else, including financial gain. The people I get to work with have no one else to help them and we're able to go above and beyond because the company backs us up to truly support people. More than what the company allows us to do for others, the culture of HMT is the best I've ever experienced in a workplace. There is constant support from all of my teammates and the leadership, all the way to the top. If I've ever had something personal going on, they understand and help me through it. When I make mistakes, I don't get torn down or belittled. I'm trusted to make decisions and organize my day (with some guidelines of course) but I have more agency here than I have at any other job. I've also not experienced another job where my opinion is genuinely taken into consideration and I feel as respected as those at higher levels than I am. An extra bonus is the fact that there is more opportunity for growth here (and at a faster pace) than any other place I've worked with.

Cons

If you don't like to work hard and you can't handle a fast-paced, changing environment, this probably isn't the company for you. Also, if you are sensitive to feedback, you will find it a difficult environment.

Pros

Clinical Manager is absolutely amazing! She treats you as an equal, and she is always available to answer any questions or provide support. The whole team of Personal Clinicians is incredible. All are so talented and kind, always willing to help each other, too. They are close-knit as well, which is an amazing feat given that everyone lives in a different state. Something I really appreciated was that they give you plenty of time to train, and they let you shadow other Clinicians as well, so that you feel absolutely ready before starting to work with your own patients.

Cons

Part of being a Personal Clinician is taking several notes down at once and tracking data during a consult, which can feel like a lot at the beginning. However, with time and practice (plus in training you watch others do it as well) note-taking becomes easier.

Pros

The company is primarily remote, and they work with VA patients, which is a great cause.

Cons

They have terrible leadership and micromanage everything. It's pathetic.
