      Pros

      I work at Healthmarkets because of the freedom to direct and grow my own practice. I am pleased with the array of choices I have to work with in terms of company affiliations to choose from to serve my clients.

      Cons

      I don't have a challenge with my 1099 Tax status. However, to have access and some form of company involvement in a retirement option would be a TREMENDOUS PLUS. I would love to see some form of either Profit Sharing or 401(k) with a profit sharing component. I can envision utilizing the ABC Fund combined with participant contributions.

      Tons of resources, easily available feedback from superiors, company offers motivating trips if reach sales goals

      Cons

      No local office to report to, variable schedule, very busy during open enrollment and must renew licenses yearly
