Pros

Henkel is a great place for work life balance and also compensation for your experience. With the acquisition of Sun Products, the company is now a strong #2 player in the laundry category. Henkel believes in the data and will invest when a solid business case is made. Also with the acquisition, people were put into roles based on their previous titles instead of allowing people to interview for roles to ensure the best fit.

Cons

The acquisition of Sun Products was more of a take over. The L side of the business became 70% Sun employees which created a huge loss of knowledge for the Henkel side of the business. The Henkel employees who are left no longer have the relationships and supporters they had before. The Henkel businesses have been left behind while the "Sun Products" businesses are front and center. Splitting the company between 'B' and 'L' was also another loss of knowledge and relationships. It has turned into an "us" "them" environment. Moving the HQ to Connecticut so far has resulted in a large loss of talent.

Pros

The job is not too difficult. You mainly work on your own, Pay and benefits are outstanding.

Cons

12 hour shifts. Only one tech per shift so vacations can be a bit dicey. Support from peers is low and there is a lot of back biting in the lab. Sometimes they seem to be lookng for a scapegoat.
